Michele Spencer-Riedel
Michele is a certified Doulagiver Specialist and former educator by trade with 28 years of experience teaching youth and serving as a former Special Education/Educational Consultant. Michele earned her End of Life Doulagiver, Elder Care Doulagiver and Doulagiver Care Consultant practitioner certifications through the International Doulagiver Institute in the spring of 2025.
Michele completed many hours alongside loved ones and friends providing compassionate care during their end-of-life moments. Michele felt called to serve as an end-of-life care practitioner by conviction due to serving as her father’s primary caregiver while he was on hospice prior to his passing in August 2025. It was this impactful experience with her father that fostered profound empathy and served as a catalyst that revealed a need and ignited a desire to serve.
Michele’s work as a Doulagiver is to normalize conversations about death, serve the terminally ill and support their loved ones with compassion, dignity and grace. Michele provides clients education, resources and guidance through the development of an individualized end-of-life plan that encompasses advance care planning, legacy and vigil projects, eulogy and obituary writing, living wakes, and bereavement support.
