Margaret Ashmore
Margaret Ashmore is originally from Ohio and has lived and worked in the Pittsburgh region for the past 21 years. As a young adult, Margaret developed concern for aging adults who had minimal family support and over the years has been called to work with infirm and aging adults as a volunteer; as a health care and hospice liaison; as a patient advocate; and as a personal care home administrator. Margaret is a graduate of LaRoche University with a BS in Leadership and minors in Psychology and Religious Studies.
Currently, Margaret serves as a cemetery counselor and is the founder of OASIS Transitions LLC, a service that provides education and doula services for caregivers and infirm adults with life limiting conditions. As a Certified End-of-Life Doula with the Doulagivers Institute, Margaret offers non-medical physical, emotional and spiritual support for patients and their caregivers. Margaret is also completing the Doulagivers Elder Care Doula and Doula Consultant programs to provide comprehensive education and support for her clients.
